This year I got to photograph my first wedding. A dear friend of mine was getting married, and asked if I would fly out and photograph her wedding. To say I was nervous was an understatement! I think I had more nerves then she did as the bride!! At the end of October, I flew out from Virginia to California for her wedding. It was so great getting to spend the time with her, as I don't get to see her often. Thank you Kimmie for inviting me, flying me out, and having the confidence in me that I could do this. I had the great pleasure of photographing my very first 1 year birthday cake smash session. We did this session in my studio, which is still going through some set up transition. I think these came out adorable. It sure does help having such a cutie to photograph!

I have been so lucky to photograph this family over the past few years. We first met in California when Dad was about to deploy, and I did a family session for them through Operation Love Reunited (which I am no longer a member of). My husband got orders to the Pentagon, and we moved out here to Virginia, and luckily for me, this family got similar orders and even picked the same town and our oldests kids go to the same school. We did a fall session last year in a more greenery/fall setting, so we changed it up a little this year. I am so thankful we did, as we got one of my all time favorite images!

We braved the super cold winds for a quick family session in Old Town Alexandria. The "T" family are new clients for me, and they are such a sweet, adorable family. They sure made my editing job super easy!
